De bewegingsdetector is geschikt voor het automatisch schakelen van de LED-oriëntatieverlichting, afhankelijk van bewegingen in de verte en de helderheid van de omgeving. Een korte beweging doet bijvoorbeeld de kamerverlichting aan; een kleine handbeweging is hiervoor voldoende. Dit maakt licht schakelen zeer comfortabel en gemakkelijk, vooral voor mensen met fysieke beperkingen. Zowel de gevoeligheid van de afstandsdetectie als de inschakelintensiteit van het LED-oriëntatielicht zijn instelbaar.
