De Eaton Industries XComfort overspanningsbeveiliging werkt op een bedrijfsspanning van 230V bij AC 50 Hz en AC 60 Hz en maakt deel uit van de X comfort serie. Deze overspanningsbeveiliging wordt aanbevolen voor gebruik in combinatie met fluorescentielampen om spanningspieken te beperken die worden veroorzaakt door ingebouwde inducties bij het uitschakelen. Het wordt ook aanbevolen voor gebruik met niet-dimbare LED-lampen met laag vermogen om flikkeren of gloeien in de OFF-status te voorkomen met de xComfort dimactoren (CDAU-01/02, CDAU-01/03, CDAE-01/02, CDAE-01/03). Een RC-unit is bevestigd tussen L en N in elke lamp of parallel aan de lamp. De RC-units vervangen echter niet de traditionele overspanningsbeveiliging.
