Cilinderlagers worden gebruikt voor hoge snelheden en zware radiale belastingen. De wentellichamen zijn niet alleen geslepen om een maximaal contact met de loopbanen te verzekeren, maar zijn ook nauwkeurig gekroond om randbelasting als gevolg van asafwijkingen te vermijden. NU-ontwerp betekent dat het lager twee machinaal bewerkte spoorkragen op de buitenring heeft en geen spoorkragen op de binnenring. De rollen en kooi assemblage worden in de buitenring gemonteerd.
