Om kegellagers op cilindrische zittingen te monteren, gebruikt u trekbussen. Deze kunnen zowel op gewone assen als op getrapte assen worden gebruikt. De installatie is eenvoudig en het is niet nodig de as aan te passen. Bij gladde assen kan het lager op elk punt van de as worden aangebracht. Bij gebruik op getrapte assen in combinatie met een L-vormige afstandsring kan het lager nauwkeurig axiaal worden gepositioneerd, wat de montage en demontage van het lager vergemakkelijkt.
