De Hensel Mi-verdeler inbouwunit met vermogensschakelaar is een geïsoleerde combinatie van laagspanningsschakelaars in kastvorm volgens IEC 61439-2, geschikt voor wandmontage. De kasten moeten geschikt zijn voor buiteninstallatie, rekening houdend met de impact van weersomstandigheden op de operationele middelen. De kastdelen en het deksel zijn gemaakt van slagvast polycarbonaat, halogeen- en siliconenvrij, in de kleur RAL 7035, met een transparant deksel met snelsluitingen voor gereedschap. Het voldoet aan het brandgedrag volgens DIN VDE 0471 Deel 2 - Gloeidraadtest 960 °C. De maximale waterabsorptie is 10 mg volgens DIN 53473. Het beschikt over een dubbel geïsoleerde beschermingsmaatregel (beschermingsklasse II). De eenheid bevat een 4-polige automatische stroomonderbrekerbehuizing met overbelastings- en kortsluitbeveiliging en een PE-klem. Het beschermingsniveau is IP 65 volgens IEC 60 529. Afmetingen zijn 600 x 300 x 262 mm.
