De Schneider Electric KNX voedingseenheid is ontworpen om busspanning te genereren voor een lijn met maximum 64 busdeelnemers. Hij beschikt over een geïntegreerde spoel om de busvoeding te ontkoppelen en een knop voor het uitschakelen/resetten van de op de lijn aangesloten busapparaten. Deze eenheid wordt geïnstalleerd op DIN-rails TH35 volgens de EN 60715-normen en wordt op de bus aangesloten via een busaansluitklem, zodat er geen datarail nodig is. Het apparaat werkt op een AC 110-230V nominale spanning en een bedrijfsspanning van minimaal AC 92V tot maximaal AC 253V, met een nettofrequentie van 50-60Hz ±10%. Hij levert een DC 30V uitgangsspanning en een maximale uitgangsstroom van 320mA. De unit is bestand tegen kortsluiting, is 4 modules breed (ongeveer 72 mm) en wordt geleverd in lichtgrijs.
