De analoge encoder wordt gebruikt als encoder voor het handmatig definiëren van stuurvariabelen, bijv. G. Mengkleppen, klepstanden, temperatuurwaarden enz. De module kan in twee modi worden gebruikt, die kunnen worden ingesteld met behulp van geïntegreerde schakelaars met twee niveaus (hand, auto). De positie van de schakelaar wordt gesignaleerd door externe besturingscontacten s1 en s2. De regelvariabele kan worden ingesteld op de potentiometer aan de voorkant. Het uitgangssignaal 0 tot 10 v is beschikbaar op de y-aansluiting. Als de schakelaar in de autopositie staat, wordt de stuurvariabele ongewijzigd doorgelust via de yr klem naar de y uitgang.
