Ze bestaan uit vertinde koperen buisjes die over een standaarddraad zijn gekrompen (samengeperst voor verbinding) om een betrouwbare verbinding tot stand te brengen. Deze reeks hulzen voor bootlace bevat een variant met een isolatiekraag met kleurcodering, die helpt om de verbinding te beschermen tegen contacten. Vergemakkelijkt de introductie tot de terminals. Ends zijn verpakt in kleine doosjes van 100 stuks. Met elke huls van een schoenveter met kleurcode kan de gebruiker ze gemakkelijk herkennen en openen.
