De Hensel Mi verdeelblokken zijn geïsoleerde combinaties van laagspanningsschakelaars in een behuizing die voldoet aan IEC 61439-2 en het meest geschikt is voor wandmontage. De kasten moeten geschikt zijn voor installatie buitenshuis, waarbij rekening moet worden gehouden met de weersinvloeden. Boxonderdelen en deksel zijn gemaakt van slagvast polycarbonaat, vrij van halogeen en siliconen, kleur RAL 7035 met een transparant deksel voorzien van snelsluitingen voor het hanteren van gereedschap. Het product voldoet aan DIN VDE 0471 Deel 2 vlamgedrag, gloeidraadtest 960°C en heeft een maximale waterabsorptie van 10mg in overeenstemming met DIN 53473. De beschermingsmaatregel is dubbel geïsoleerd (beschermingsklasse II). De componenten omvatten Mi VE 304 voedingsklem, 300 mm², 4-polig, gemonteerd op een montageplaat van 300x300 mm.
