De Gira E2 is een tweevoudige inbouwdoos voor montage op gemetselde wanden of plafonds. De doos is gemaakt van plastic en heeft een diepte van 60,5 mm en een inwendige diepte van 50 mm. Hij heeft een rechthoekige vorm en wordt geïnstalleerd met schroeven. De doos vergemakkelijkt het spreiden van de armatuur en het terugvoeren met maximaal 4 ingangen. Voor vlakke montage moet de doos worden vastgezet, vaak met gips, en moet de apparaatdoos (artikelnummer 289700) erin worden geïnstalleerd, net als een gewone inbouwdoos.
