De Dehn PHE III is een afzonderlijk capacitief spanningsdetectieapparaat voor het controleren van een veilige isolatie van de voedingsspanning op alle polen op de werklocatie in elektrische installaties, volgens de normen EN/IEC 61243-1 (DIN VDE 0682-411) en EN 50110-1 (DIN VDE 0105-100). De totale lengte van het apparaat is 1010 mm en het is van de "S"-categorie voor schakelinstallaties en bovengrondse leidingen. De universele tandwielkoppeling voldoet aan EN/IEC 60832 (DIN VDE 0682-211) en is geschikt voor gebruik in natte weersomstandigheden. Het bevat ook een visuele en akoestische indicatie samen met een zelftestfunctie voor verbeterde veiligheid. De nominale spanning varieert van 6 tot 20 kV en het apparaat is gemaakt van kunststof.
