De Hensel inbouwunit met vermogensschakelaar is een verdeelkast met een capaciteit tot 250 A. Hij heeft een deur en is ontworpen als een combineerbaar kastsysteem geschikt voor bouw door leken (DBO) volgens IEC 61 439-3 voor wandmontage. De kasten zijn ontworpen voor veilige installatie buitenshuis, waarbij rekening is gehouden met de weersomstandigheden. Kastonderdelen en deuren zijn gemaakt van slagvast, halogeen- en siliconenvrij polycarbonaat in de kleur RAL 7035. Alle kasten hebben afsluitbare deuren en de apparaten worden van binnenuit bediend. Het brandgedrag voldoet aan IEC 60 695-2-11 Gloeidraadtest 960 °C. De veiligheidsmaatregel is dubbele isolatie (beschermingsklasse II). De stroomschakelkast is 3-polig met overbelastings- en kortsluitbeveiliging en heeft PE- en N-terminalblokken. De deursluiting werkt met gereedschap.
