Vlinderkleppen zijn kwartslagkleppen die ideaal zijn voor aan/uit of modulerende doorstroming. Deze klep is geschikt voor 6 bar en wordt met de hand bediend, maar kan ook worden gebruikt met een actuator (ISO 5211 F05). De nominale diameter is 50 mm (2 inch) en heeft een flens van het lugtype. De gietijzeren (GGG40) behuizing, roestvrijstalen schijf en FKM-afdichting maken hem duurzaam en geschikt voor een mediatemperatuur tussen 5°C en 180°C.
